Cliff’s Week At The Gym:
Last week, I made it my goal to start getting back into my intentional physical activity. The weekend was difficult because Stephanie was away for the weekend and I had all three children to care for. This is more of an excuse than anything. Looking back, I can think of several things that I could have done and involved the kids in physical activity with me.

I had decided that I wanted to start going to the gym early in the morning, before I start my work day. I put on my calender hoping it would all work out. Monday came around and I slept in until about 8am and didn’t go to the gym. However, I did go to the gym about 6pm Monday evening for an hour.

Tuesday came around and I, once again, slept in until about 8am. However, I actually had a 90 minute break in between consulting calls and I ended up going to the gym at 2pm and running a 5K on the treadmill.

As I am typing the pre-show show notes, it is Wednesday, October 13th and I woke up at 6:15am, I weighed in, had a very light breakfast, and I’m heading out the door to the gym.

Just as a side note, my weigh in was not good. The past few weigh ins, I’ve seen increases on the scale. I’m now up to 223 and I had made it as low as 212. It’s been a very slow climb back up and I know it’s my lack of daily physical activity and the fact that I stopped counting calories. I’m headed back to the gym and I’m back to counting calories. I hope to have a very good update next week.

040 Biggest Loser – When Your Wife Holds You Accountable

This week, Father Roderick had some technical difficulties and Cliff is joined by Stephanie as they discuss season 10 episode 2 of the Biggest Loser. In this episode, Stephanie also gives Cliff some much needed nudging and accountability. It’s amazing how easy it is to loose steam and it’s also amazing how difficult it is to get back on that horse and find that much needed momentum to keep moving forward. Cliff is hoping that it has more to do with all the traveling that he’s been doing and that he can break this bad cycle of non-activity and get back into the calorie counting and hard core workouts.
